Our Question

Does anybody make anything good anymore?

Almost two years ago, we asked ourselves a simple but powerful question: What if hemp-based beverages could become the true go-to alternative to alcohol? Not just another trendy drink.

Many players in the space treated it as a short-term cash grab — a loophole to exploit before the door slammed shut. “Make as much money as you can, then cash out.” That was the industry status quo...

We saw it differently.

So we had a choice: complain about the mentality of conventional mass produced brands, or build the future we actually believed in.

This is Where Our Story Begins...

What Makes our Tonics Different?

First, it has to taste damn good.

So we brought in our “mad scientist” — Mark, with over 20 years of experience is a true pioneer in product development across the cannabis space. Mark helped us refine and layer the nostalgic, craveable flavors you’ll find in every one of our blends.

Second, it has to actually work as intended. That means using quality active ingredients — like 100% fruiting body dual-extracted mushrooms paired with our thoughtfully chosen collection of actives. These come from sourcing partners who truly share our vision of creating real craft alternative beverages.

Our functional mushrooms come from a small local Texas farm that’s been part of our founder’s personal wellness journey for years. For us, this partnership was an obvious choice.

And then there’s our sweetener system, the first of its kind in the industry. We combined the potent natural sweet protein of the Katemfe fruit with a vegan favorite, allulose. Together they deliver a tonic brimming with flavor, familiar textures, and a satisfying mouthfeel. Nostalgic flavor without the sugar spike or the guilt.

We could have taken the easy route like many of our competitors; white labeling products and cutting corners on ingredients.

But this is OUR Vision, and that’s why we are, The Goods.

Our friends at Malamen Creative helped us shine our unique light with The Goods visual identity and brought true, classic flair back to an otherwise bland and  nondescript industry.

At its core, we want The Goods to feel like the family you choose. That’s exactly why we put so much emphasis on the subscriber journey.

Being on the founding team of one the first hemp-based seltzer brands to hit the market in 2021 gave us a strong head start. It allowed us to build meaningful industry relationships, gain deep insight into cannabis applications in the rapidly growing beverage space, and develop a refined tastemaker’s palate from testing hundreds of product samples.
